"For
when the one great scorer comes to write against your name, he writes
not that you won or lost but how you played the game." |

Atlanta's
Robert Tyre "Bobby" Jones Jr. is the only golfer in the history of the
sport ever to win the Grand Slam: the British Amateur, the British Open,
the U.S. Open and the U.S. Amateur. Widely accepted as the sport's greatest
hero, Jones was more than simply an extraordinary athlete. He was an extraordinary
figure as much for his dignity and grace off the golf course as on it.
This website has been developed for researchers interested in exploring
Jones's life and learning more about the history of golf in Georgia.
